Some Arsenal fans have been giving their thoughts on the rumour claiming Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is upset about missing out on Tammy Abraham.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with the England international over the past few weeks.

However, the Gunners have missed out on Abraham as he completed a move to Italian outfit Roma on Tuesday.

Speculation linking the 23-year-old with Jose Mourinho’s side intensified over the weekend.

On Sunday, The Athletic reported that Abraham had agreed to join Roma in a £34million deal.

The following day, Sky Sports journalist Kaveh Solhekol provided the apparent view from the Arsenal camp.

“Mikel Arteta wanted him,” he said (7:49pm, 16/8/21).

“We have been told today (Monday) that Mikel Arteta is upset about the fact that Arsenal didn’t get Tammy Abraham and he has gone to Roma.”

While the Abraham speculation split the fanbase, some supporters are now Mulling over Arsenal’s apparent failure to land the 6ft 3in striker.

Arteta takes some serious blame here.

You Mikel convinced auba to sign a brand new massive deal and had no clue how to get the best out of him.
You also failed to let Eddie go (said he wasn’t for sale 6 months ago). Both are now difficult to shift.

Not fought so hard to get Auba to re-sign on big money.

Approved Laca’s sale to Roma last summer.

Allowed Eddie to go on loan last January to enhance his value this summer for a sale like Willock.
