Matt Le Tissier has told the Where’s Jeff podcast that he’s heard from a source at Arsenal that the problem at the Emirates Stadium is not Mikel Arteta.
Arteta the scapegoat?
The Arsenal boss has come under a huge amount of pressure after their poor start to the campaign.
However, it seems that Arsenal’s players are actually the ones at fault for their poor start.
Le Tissier claims that he has been told that there is a great amount of disharmony within the group at Arsenal.
And the pundit revealed: “I can tell you from a contact inside the Arsenal camp. At Arsenal the problem isn’t with the manager, the problem is all in the changing room from what I’m hearing.
“There is a lot of disharmony in the changing room and that’s something which is very difficult for a manager.
“Even though it might be the players fault, we always know what happens when things goes wrong, and it’s always the manager who carries the can.”

Worrying information
The comments come as a great concern, as they suggest that the problem at Arsenal runs far deeper than the manager.
Indeed, sacking Arteta may not solve any of their issues, if Le Tissier is correct.
The Spaniard is still likely to come under huge scrutiny if he fails to lead Arsenal to victory at the weekend though.
The Gunners are taking on newly promoted Norwich City, and go into the game rooted to the bottom of the table.
If Arsenal fail to win then serious questions will start to be asked of Arteta, even though he seems to retain the board’s confidence for the time being (Athletic).
