Guglielmo Vicario certainly enjoyed Brennan Johnson’s late winner for Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
Johnson popped up with a crucial goal for Spurs in the 96th minute to hand Ange Postecoglou’s men all three points in north London.
Tottenham trailed 1-0 at halftime following an early Pascal Gross penalty. But after a difficult first half, they improved dramatically after the break.
Pape Matar Sarr levelled things up on the hour mark after a dominant start to the second half. Brighton got themselves back into the game thereafter but Spurs produced an exceptional move to find a late winner.
Two of Postecoglou’s subs, Johnson and Heung-Min Son, linked up for the winner and it’s fair to say that Guglielmo Vicario was delighted.

What Vicario did after Johnson’s late winner vs Brighton
In a video posted on X, Vicario can be spotted celebrating on his own down his end of the pitch.
The Italian sprints back towards his goal before performing a knee slide in front of the Spurs supporters.
Of course, Vicario has come under fire recently as he’s been targeted by opposition sides from corners.
But Tottenham seemed to adapt their approach yesterday as they looked to protect the Italian goalkeeper from set-piece situations.

Spurs have made a habit of leaving things late this season, with the north Londoners picking up a total of seven points thanks to late goals.
They have also received criticism recently due to conceding a total of eight goals in stoppage time this term.
Yet, Postecoglou has shown that he will not change his approach due to criticism from the outside and it certainly paid off for Tottenham yesterday.
The game looked set to fizzle out in the dying moments but Spurs produced a breathtaking move to pick up all three points.
It’s a crucial win for Spurs too as it puts them above Aston Villa and back in the top four.
