TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Liverpool have received an approach from Real Madrid for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Reds right-back is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning non-English clubs can speak directly to him about a pre-contract agreement from 1 January.
Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool future remains uncertain and, with just months remaining until his contract expires, clubs are already starting to circle.

Liverpool reject Real Madrid approach for Trent Alexander-Arnold as Florentino Perez keen to check on situation
Now, TBR Football correspondent Graeme Bailey can confirm that Liverpool have turned down an approach from Real Madrid for Alexander-Arnold.
Sources have confirmed to TBR Football that Florentino Perez made contact with Liverpool owners FSG about the prospect of a January deal.
However, Liverpool made it clear to the Bernabeu outfit that they would not consider a sale.
No fee was discussed, but Perez wanted to check on situation before commencing talks over a possible free transfer.
Alexander-Arnold came through the ranks at Liverpool and has been a key player for years now, with 333 competitive appearances, 20 goals and 85 assists to his name for the Reds.
He has won a Champions League, a Premier League title, an FA Cup, two Carabao Cups, a Community Shield, a UEFA Supercup and a FIFA Club World Cup whilst at Liverpool.
“No full-back that I’ve ever seen in this country can do what he can do,” Gary Neville told previously told Sky Sports, via BBC Sport.
“So, if he can just work on those basic [defensive] things and get consistency, we won’t just have one of the best attacking right-backs this country has ever produced, we will probably have the best right-back the world has ever produced.
“This is a [Brazil legend] Cafu – that level of full-back, this is something unbelievably special.”
What Arne Slot has said about Alexander-Arnold contract talks
At the weekend, Slot distanced himself from the negotiations with Alexander-Arnold, as well as Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
He said, as per The Guardian: “I think I have a lot of control over what they do if they are on the training pitch or in a meeting with me.
“But if you’re talking about their private life I don’t have control.
“I have control over what I expect from them on the pitch and I’m really pleased to see what Trent, Mo and Virgil bring on the pitch.”
