Tottenham secured a 4-0 win over FC Copenhagen on Tuesday, with Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven’s actions post-match a talking point.

After suffering defeat at the hands of Chelsea at the weekend, Spurs bounced back in style with a convincing European victory.

Xavi Simons was among the top performers on the night, earning praise from the Tottenham faithful who are now backing him to kick on following a difficult spell.

Elsewhere, the attention was on Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven following their actions after the aforementioned Chelsea loss.

What Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven did after Tottenham beat Copenhagen

Following the full-time whistle at Stamford Bridge, the Spurs defenders were filmed walking straight towards the tunnel and, in the process, snubbed Thomas Frank.

It has since emerged that Tottenham are ‘satisfied’ with the Van de Ven and Spence incident, with it not being viewed as a slight on their manager.

Now, the duo have been videoed once more on the back of the Copenhagen game.

This time, however, they could be seen applauding the Tottenham fans after picking up the three points.

Micky Van de Ven reacts to his Tottenham goal vs Copenhagen

Van de Ven was among the goal scorers on the night and commented on his goal when speaking live on TNT Sports post-match.

He said: “I started dribbling, and thought, I thought that I would see if they would catch up and they didn’t.

“I am feeling good, and I felt amazing in the sprint, I felt like I could keep going. [Cristian] Romero stayed calm as well [for Joao Palhinha goal] when I saw him in front I wondered why he was there.

“When we got the red card I thought it was going to be tough but we stayed cool, we did what we needed to do and we killed the game off.”

The result has moved Spurs, until at least Wednesday evening, up to seventh in the Champions League table.

The Lilywhites now turn their attention to their meeting with Manchester United on Saturday, which Simons commented on post-match.

He said: Big games coming up, I think we have to enjoy this win tonight and tomorrow we go back and focus on Manchester United.”
