Luis Nani
Nani, much like Ben Arfa, is familiar to fans of English football after spending a good number of years at Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United.
The Portuguese international enjoyed a prosperous time at Old Trafford in terms of trophies won, but he never totally convinced everybody despite his undeniable talent.
With a tendency to be quite inconsistent, selfish and often branded as a diver, his reputation was blighted and in his last season at United he was barely deployed under David Moyes.
However, again like Ben Arfa, a move away from the Premier League has done him the world of good. After spending a loan spell at Sporting CP where he started his career, he scored 12 goals in 38 appearances before moving to Fenerbahce where he found the net 12 times in 47 games, prompting Spanish club Valencia to come knocking.
Nani; who tends to operate on the wing but has played up front for Portugal in EURO 2016 on occasion where he has scored twice, is a very capable player with incredibly quick feet, great ball control and an eye for goal.
A move to Valenica would make sense for him as he would be playing in what is seen as a bigger league; La Liga. For Valencia, after losing Sofiane Feghouli to West Ham, they are now a man down in the winger department, and Nani would be a more than competent replacement for the Algerian international.
Nani and Ben Arfa both prove however that just because things don’t work out in the Premier League, your career can still be prosperous
