Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move to sign Dominic Solanke today, but Bournemouth aren’t ready to let him go.

Spurs have done some good business in this window already, in terms of new signings as well as outgoings. They are still active on deadline day today, and Solanke’s name has been making the rounds.

What Bournemouth are saying about Dominic Solanke after Tottenham interest

Dominic Solanke is having a fine season for Bournemouth in the Premier League, and it’s no surprise that Tottenham want to sign him.

Spurs are yet to replace Harry Kane with an out-and-out striker. Son Heung-min and Richarlison have filled in up front and have done a remarkable job so far.

However, Ange Postecoglou has to sign a new striker at some point, and The Sun claimed this week that Spurs are considering a deadline-day move for Solanke.

It was claimed that Tottenham are eyeing a £50 million-plus deal, but Dean Jones has revealed on GiveMeSport that Bournemouth actually value him closer to £80 million.

The journalist further adds that the Cherries are adamant there’s no chance Solanke will be sold today and have made it clear in private briefings that they will not listen to any offers.

Jones wrote: “Bournemouth are issuing a hands-off warning over Dominic Solanke ahead of deadline day. He’s been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but the Cherries are adamant there is no chance of any deal.

“So far, Spurs have made no contact but a report mooted the prospect of Tottenham lodging an offer in advance of £50million.

“The likelihood of a deal is low because on one hand Spurs have not had any plan to spend that sort of money late in the window and are not even sure they will sign a striker soon.

“Secondly, Solanke would be valued closer to £80 million at this stage of a window. And private briefings indicate they are not open to listening to anyone that wants to take him away from the club right now.”

Solanke signed a new contract at Bournemouth in September last year and that does not expire until the summer of 2027.

As things stand, it’s extremely unlikely that Tottenham will be able to sign him today.
