Much like many Spanish midfielders, Zubimendi isn’t the flashiest of players, but he’s incredibly smart.

He’s almost impossible to tackle, he reads the game brilliantly, and he always picks out the right pass.

Perhaps the most telling thing about Zubimendi’s style is the fact that Arsenal looked to him as a potential replacement for Jorginho at one point.

Zubimendi is very much cut from that same cloth as Jorginho. He’s a midfield controller who is so reliable on the ball.
