It was another frustrating day at the office for Tottenham yesterday as Brentford became the second team in a week to keep them from having a shot on target.
After an impressive few months of football under Antonio Conte, Tottenham have stuttered lately and are now looking second favourites to take the final spot in the top four. Their bitter rivals, Arsenal, are now in the driving seat after winning their last two games impressively.
And yesterday, according to Football.London, the failure to beat Brentford appears to have hit Conte hard. That’s because, according to a report from FL, Conte barely spoke a word to his Tottenham players after the draw yesterday.

Usually an animated figure with plenty to say, the fact Conte has apparently come across as a defeated man here is a worrying sign for Spurs. Of course, it could all be part of his man-management and he could well be looking to get a reaction from his players again.
Certainly, it’s a tactic that’s worked well for Conte in the past with Spurs. His team face some huge games in the coming weeks and have a great chance to make the top four, if they can get it right.
TBR’s View: Conte Must Be A Frustrated Figure At Tottenham
Just when it looked like Conte might have cracked it with this Spurs side, things have taken a turn for the worse and they’ve looked poor in the last two weeks.
Conte and his coaching team must find a way to correct this really. Brentford simply stopped them creating, much like Brighton did, and they’ll not be getting the top four unless they find another way of creating chances.
Tottenham have a real chance to shape their immediate future here and Conte will be hoping these last two weeks are simply a blip.
