Tottenham smashed their way past a hapless Everton side tonight as Harry Kane once again helped himself to a couple of goals in north London.
Heung-Min Son, Sergio Reguilon and and own goal from Michael Keane helped Spurs cruise past Frank Lampard’s side with worrying ease for the new Toffees boss. In fact, the most fight his side showed all night was at half-time, when there was a minor fracas between both sets of players near the touchline.

And while it was all going off, Tottenham fans will have been delighted to see their manager, Antonio Conte, not too far from the action. Spotted on Sky Sports (via Football Daily), Conte was seen just sneaking into the action as it unfolded near the touchline. The fiery Italian was clearly ready to defend his players, who were quick to step in and try and calm the situation themselves.
The clip can be seen over on Football Daily’s Twitter account.
Of course, Tottenham’s players and Conte had little to worry about. They were 3-0 up and cruising at the time and it was clearly just the Everton players getting frustrated. Still, Tottenham fans and players will have enjoyed seeing Conte in the thick of things.
TBR’s View: Conte And Tottenham Finally Get It Right
Things might just be clicking for Tottenham and Conte. Although, we have said this before haven’t we.
Conte will be delighted with what he saw this evening but Everton didn’t half make it easy for them at times, much like Leeds did the other week.
In terms of the halftime handbags, well, Conte is never going to back down from a scrap. He was similar as a player and if his team need him, he’ll be there. Spurs fans and players, then, should be enthused by seeing their coach so willing and on the spot.
