Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford has been praised by BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton after helping Marcelo Bielsa’s side to their 15th Premier League win of the season.

The Whites hosted Spurs at Elland Road and ran out 3-1 winners over Ryan Mason’s side, with Bamford netting his 15th league goal of the campaign.

Leeds opened the scoring after 13 minutes, Stuart Dallas rifling home from close range after Hugo Lloris was forced to keep out Sergio Reguilon’s deflection.

Son Heung-min got Spurs back into the game on 25 minutes, equalising with a clinical finish after being set up by Dele Alli.

However, Leeds went into the break 2-1 up after Eric Dier allowed Bamford to stroll across him in the box to tap home just a few minutes before half time.

“Leeds, their season just rolls on, they have jumped above Arsenal now and it was a really slick performance,” Sutton told BT Sport, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“Patrick Bamford, what an incredible season, an amazing season.

“He leads the line incredibly well and scores goals and there’s a bit of ‘R and R’ at the end there with Raphinha and Rodrigo linking up well and a devastating finish. They deserved the victory.”

Leeds made sure of victory six minutes from time, Raphinha whipping in a cross which was thumped home by fellow substitute Rodrigo.

Up next for the Whites is next Saturday’s trip to Burnley.
