What agents are trying to get Arsenal to do before deadline day

The transfer deadline is just 48 hours away, and agents are working frantically to get moves for their clients.

There are so many players whose futures remain unresolved with just hours to go in the window.

The likes of Ivan Toney, Victor Osimhen and Raheem Sterling will have their agents working non-stop to find a move.

Interestingly, each of the aforementioned players has been linked to Arsenal, and the Gunners are bound to field a few cold calls from agents over the next day or so.

Speaking on his Patreon, Team News and Ticks has been discussing how agents are working in this window, and he says that even ahead of deadline day, there are some intermediaries who are trying to force a new striker upon Arsenal.

Agents are trying to offer Arsenal a striker

The insider shared what he knows about Arsenal and the calls they have been fielding.

“It is interesting that we are being linked with number nines. I know there are a few agents that are trying to force nines upon us. I don’t know if that’s because we want a nine, which I doubt, or because they feel they need a nine, so they’re offering their clients to us,’ He said.

Arsenal still need a striker

Arsenal don’t seem to be in the market for a new number nine, but make no mistake about it, they could do with a new striker.

Kai Havertz has been in good form over the past six months or so, but let’s not forget, for the best part of the last five years, he’s been quite poor.

If this purple patch ends, Arsenal are back to square one in their search for a goalscorer, and perhaps they need a new number nine before Friday’s deadline in order to bolster their ranks that bit further.

Arsenal would be wise to get a new striker through the door before the window slams shut.
