Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has waxed lyrical about Spurs ace Tanguy Ndombele following his heroics and hard work this season.
The 24-year-old midfielder is in amazing form at present, his maiden-season issues at Tottenham now a distant memory.
He was especially scintillating against Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, the visitors running out 3-1 winners.
The Blades had no answer to Ndombele’s passing, link-up play and engine, not to mention his spectacular third goal, an improvised lob over Aaron Ramsdale.
Ndombele’s current exploits are a world away from his issues last term, where he was in and out of the team amid a reported falling out with Jose Mourinho.
“Well I think he was unhappy last season because Jose came in and he was in and out of the team,” Roberts told The Spurs Web.
“He worked hard in the pre-season – the bit they had – and he looks a lot fitter now. What a talent.”
Hard to believe that speculation linking Ndombele with a move away was doing the rounds in the summer.
The £200,000-a-week ace has turned doubters into praisers, and no doubt there is more to come from him as Tottenham look to finally get their hands on silverware for the first time since 2008.
