A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Cohen Bramall’s goalscoring performance last night as the former Gunners youngster helped his side to a crucial playoff first-leg victory.
The 24-year-old joined Arsenal from non-league Hednesford Town in January 2017 in a reported £40,000 deal (BBC Sport) and he spent the next two-and-a-half years with the North London club.
Bramall did not make a competitive senior Gunners appearance in the end and left the Emirates Stadium last summer for Colchester United, where he has shone brightly with 31 appearances in all competitions so far.

On Thursday night, the left-back helped Colchester establish a first-leg lead against League Two playoff opponents Exeter City, whipping a free kick inside the near-post from a tight angle, with Lewis Ward unable to keep the effort out.
Plenty of Arsenal fans were pleased with their former player’s efforts at the Colchester Community Stadium on the night and took to social media to congratulate him:
Colchester and Exeter will lock horns again on Monday night at St James’ Park, with the winner facing either Northampton or Cheltenham for the right to play in League One next term.
