A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to criticise Dele Alli’s omission from the latest England squad.
The 24-year-old has been overlooked by Gareth Southgate for the upcoming Nations League games against Iceland and Denmark.
Alli also missed out on the England squad for the Euro 2020 qualifying matches last October and November.

Southgate said after the first of those omissions that the attacking midfielder’s season “hadn’t got going”, although in part that was due to a hamstring injury.
Though Alli’s form picked up after Jose Mourinho’s appointment, he missed six games after the Premier League’s resumption – one due to suspension and five following injury.
Now fit again, Alli shone during Tottenham’s first pre-season game of 2020-21, providing two assists for his teammates en route to a 3-0 win over Ipswich.
However, there’s no room for him in the latest Three Lions squad for the trip to Reykjavik on September 5 and the game in Copenhagen on September 8.
Some Spurs fans weren’t best pleased, making their feelings known on social media:
While Alli missed out, there were spots in the squad for Spurs trio for Harry Kane, Eric Dier, and Harry Winks.
