Leeds United defender Stuart Dallas put in a solid display for Northern Ireland last night, earning praise from Whites fans as well as national supporters.

The 29-year-old was named in the starting XI by Ian Baraclough, who was taking charge of his first game as the nation’s manager, for the Nations League clash against Romania.

Despite picking up an early knock, Dallas played the full 90 minutes and produced a solid, tireless display at right-back during a difficult night in Bucharest.

Baraclough’s managerial debut for NI looked to be going pear-shaped as his side fell behind to George Puscas’ opener, before Josh Magennis was sent off before half time.

However, an inspired display from goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell and a late equaliser from substitute Gavin Whyte ensured Baraclough emerged with a point at the Arena Nationala.

Here is what was said on social media about Dallas by some Leeds fans:

Dallas joined Leeds from Brentford in 2015 for a reported £1.3million fee and has made 192 competitive appearances for the Whites, scoring 19 goals and claiming 15 assists.
