Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus earned praise from Sky Sports pundit Darren Ambrose for his role in the Gunners’ third against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday night.

The 25-year-old began the Europa League encounter on the bench as Mikel Arteta opted to rest his big guns.

Arsenal led Bodo/Glimt 2-0 by half time, but could’ve been much further ahead were it not for some wasteful finishing.

And with the visitors just starting to get some encouragement in the game, the Gunners boss opted to make some changes.

Just before the hour mark, Arteta made a triple substitution, bringing on Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.

Jesus lined up on the left, enabling Eddie Nketiah to continue playing at No. 9.

Late on in the match, Jesus was the architect for Arsenal’s third goal, which made completely sure of the result.

The 25-year-old skipped past two challenges on the byline before pulling the ball back and laying a goal for Fabio Vieira.

The Portuguese youngster, who had already claimed an assist in the game, duly fired the ball into the roof of the net.

“What a player Jesus is,” Ambrose said on Sky Sports News. “Arsenal look like the real deal.”

What a player indeed – Jesus has been a revelation ever since joining the Gunners from Manchester City in the summer.

The Brazilian hit the ground running in pre-season with seven goals and has carried that form into the season proper.

Jesus now has five goals and four assists from 10 outings in all competitions for Arsenal.

An inspired signing for sure, and worth the wait after the Gunners’ initial struggles post-Aubameyang departure.
