'What a player', 'On fire': Some Rangers fans laud £3m-rated talent's performance against Arsenal

Rangers fans have lauded Swiss striker Cedric Itten following their 2-2 pre-season draw against Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 24-year-old attacker scored the Gers’ second goal of the afternoon in a highly entertaining match at Ibrox.

The SPL giants took the lead twice during that game as Mikel Arteta’s side struck late to secure a draw for the north London side.

Rangers’ pre-season is well underway, with the Scottish title holders facing off against Blackpool on Wednesday evening.

Gerrard will be keen to get his players back into top form ahead of next season. Indeed, Rangers will be competing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in over a decade.

And Itten’s form so far has impressed supporters. The striker, who joined Rangers in 2020 for a reported £3m according to the Scotsman, has been in fine form in pre-season.

Indeed, the 24-year-old scored in Rangers 1-0 win over Partick Thistle. Moreover, the Swiss attacker made it two in three pre-season games against the Gunners yesterday with a good header in the second half.
