Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro have both lauded Destiny Udogie on social media following Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Newcastle United yesterday.

Destiny Udogie netted his first-ever Premier League goal for Spurs as they thrashed Newcastle 4-1.

The 21-year-old continues to impress from left-back and bounced back with a dazzling display yesterday following a costly error against West Ham during the week.

Udogie linked up brilliantly with Son Heung-Min down the left-hand side against Newcastle and the duo combined for Spurs’ opener.

The £15 million full-back found Son before the Spurs skipper beat Kieran Trippier to get to the byline.

Son then whipped a ball across the box and handed Udogie an easy finish for his first goal for Spurs.

It set Tottenham on their way as they were finally able to build on taking a 1-0 lead. And Udogie has earned praise from Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro following yesterday’s game.

Van de Ven and Porro so impressed with Udogie

Udogie took to Instagram yesterday to express his delight after netting his first goal for Tottenham.

He wrote: “Special night. Happy for my first goal and the massive win! We keep going all together.”

His teammates flocked beneath the post, with the likes of Djed Spence and Manor Solomon leaving comments.

Porro also replied and wrote: “What a player.”

Udogie continues to improve under Ange Postecoglou’s guidance and it’s fair to say he bounced back with an exceptional display yesterday.

The full-back was at fault for West Ham’s winner on Thursday after a short back-pass to Guglielmo Vicario led to James Ward-Prowse’s goal.

But he was a constant threat for Spurs yesterday, with his athleticism and ability on the ball causing Newcastle real problems.

Indeed, Gary Neville even compared him to Manchester United legend Patrice Evra during the game.

Spurs will be hoping for big things from Udogie and the youngster has already surprised many with how quickly he’s adapted to English football.
