‘What a player he is’: Arsenal fans react to latest links with Tariq Lamptey

Arsenal fans have been having their say on Twitter today as the Gunners were once again linked with Brighton’s Tariq Lamptey.

The exciting fullback has been one of the success stories of the season despite Brighton sitting just above the bottom three. The former Chelsea youngster has impressed massively and a number of big clubs are said to be looking at him.

But it is Arsenal who are being linked again this weekend. The Daily Mail claims Lamptey is firmly on the radar for Mikel Arteta and Edu, as they plot moves to build an impressive young team at The Emirates.

The report claims Arsenal’s plan is to sign young players and also tie down their own young stars such as Folarin Balogun and Emile Smith-Rowe.

Twitter, then, was awash with comments from Arsenal fans discussing the potential signing of Lamptey. And while some questioned why the club would get rid of Hector Bellerin, there was plenty of support for the reported interest in the Brighton man.
