‘What a player’: Fans laud West Ham’s Declan Rice following England display

England were 2-0 victors this evening as they beat Albania to keep up their impressive run of form under Gareth Southgate.

The Three Lions were comfortable enough throughout, although they did survive a few early scares. But in the main, and in particular in the second half, England controlled the game.

The midfield pairing of Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips ensured England had control of the game, while the likes of Foden, Mount, and Kane were a threat throughout.

But it was the performance of West Ham star Rice that caught the attention of some fans on Twitter. Some Hammers fans were quick to praise him, while supporters of other teams were also quick to laud the midfielder.

Rice is now a certain starter for the Three Lions and will no doubt attract big interest over the summer.
