Arsenal saw off Liverpool last night in one of the most exhilarating contests of the season so far thanks to two late goals.
Despite defensive mistakes from both teams, it was Arsenal who managed to come out on top in the end and late strikes from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard ensured a huge three points for the club.
For Mikel Arteta, it was great to see and his tactical plan of playing both Jorginho and Declan Rice in the middle of the park worked wonders.
Indeed, the inclusion of Jorginho was particularly brave, given he’s not always a regular. However, the Italian was outstanding and when asked about who was player of the match, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville was in no doubt the main man was Jorginho.

Summing up the game at the end of a frantic 90 minutes, Neville was asked by Peter Drury to give his top performer.
And with no hesitation, the former Man United defender lauded Jorginho’s midfield performance.
“Its going to go to the calmest player on the pitch. He’s been absolutely outstanding he really has. What a performance,” Neville said.
Class is permanent
Some Arsenal fans questioned Mikel Arteta when he signed Jorginho but as the old saying goes, form is temporary and class is permanent.
The Italian was back to his very best against Liverpool and his experience and knowhow in a big game scenario shone through for all to see.
Jorginho will play a huge role for Arsenal in this title run in. Experienced players who have been there and done it are worth their weight in gold and it was proven yesterday.
In a game where so many played well, for Neville to be so quick in labelling Jorginho as his top performer said it all really.
