A number of Glasgow Rangers fans have been praising Ibrox attacker Ianis Hagi following his impressive performance for Steven Gerrard’s charges last night.
Rangers have successfully navigated the Europa League qualifiers and the playoffs to reach the group stage proper for the third successive season.
The Light Blues had tough opposition at Ibrox in the shape of Galatasaray, who boasted some top players including Colombian star Radamel Falcao.

The match was particularly special for Ianis Hagi, born in Istanbul when father Gheorghe was spearheading a golden era for Gala.
After a tense, tight first half, goals from Scott Arfield and captain James Tavernier – his seventh in seven games – were enough for victory, though Marcao’s late goal prompted a nervy finish.
Hagi put in a tireless, hard-working display for Rangers and his fantastic ball sent Arfield through to score the crucial opener.
The 21-year-old, who joined Rangers permanently in the summer for a reported £3million, found himself under some criticism in recent weeks.
However, his performance on the night led to overwhelmingly positive comments from Bears.
Below is some of the social media reaction to Hagi’s display:
