'What a man': Some Liverpool fans love what Thiago did on pitch after Spain's Euro 2020 exit
Liverpool midfielder Thiago has earned praise for his reaction after Spain’s exit from Euro 2020 on penalties to Italy last night.
Thiago only came on as a substitute, but he scored from the spot.
Unfortunately not all of the Liverpool midfielder’s teammates could follow suit, with both Dani Olmo and Alvaro Morata missing from 12 yards.
Spain were understandably crestfallen at full-time, but Thiago was keen to console his teammates.
He was filmed supporting young teammate Pedri, who was in tears at full-time.
And the Liverpool midfielder earned praise for his reaction to defeat.
Thiago’s leadership qualities have really shone through over the tournament, as he has regularly been praised for his reactions after full-time.
The experienced midfielder will be looking to have more of an impact on the pitch next season, though.
Thiago didn’t quite have the campaign many were predicting at Liverpool, which ultimately resulted in him losing a starting place in Spain’s team.
Thiago did start to show real signs that he was adapting to the Premier League towards the end of last campaign, though.
And Liverpool will be hoping that his obvious class can shine through, as they look to regain their title.
