Aston Villa supporters have lauded Emi Martinez after another crucial performance for Argentina in the Copa America.
The 28-year-old keeper kept a clean sheet for the two-time FIFA World Cup winners in their quarter-final win over Ecuador. Argentina won 3-0 on the night.

It was Martinez’s fourth appearance in this summer’s Copa America, as well as is his fourth clean sheet in the tournament. The Villa star is yet to concede a goal in the competition.
The £47,000-a-week star has been a revelation for Argentina, who have struggled in the goalkeeping department for some time. Yet now it appears that the South American giants finally have their man to fill in between the sticks.

Martinez was one of Villa’s best players last season following his move to the club from Arsenal. Moreover, supporters on social media were buzzing to see the keeper carry over his form into the international scene with Argentina.
