Arsenal fans loved seeing Aaron Ramsdale’s reaction after their victory against Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.
Joy for Ramsdale
Arsenal ran out 3-1 winners over Spurs, with Ramsdale putting in an excellent performance in goal.
There were some doubts over the English stopper when he made the move to the Emirates Stadium.
But he has quickly forced his way into Mikel Arteta’s starting line-up and has been extremely commanding to date.
Ramsdale seems to have quickly ousted Bernd Leno, with his passion quickly endearing himself to the Arsenal crowd.
The 23-year-old certainly was in celebratory mood after Arsenal’s success yesterday too.
Ramsdale punched the air wildly before thanking the Arsenal fans for their support, in footage captured by a fan in the ground.
And Gunners supporters loved seeing his reaction on the pitch to their victory.
Solid showing
Ramsdale wasn’t hugely influential on the game, as Arsenal kept him well protected, but when he was called upon he put in an excellent display.
Ramsdale made one brilliant save from Lucas Moura, and also produced a solid stop to parry away a long-range effort from Harry Kane in the second-half.
His display will surely keep him in goal for Arsenal’s next game, which comes against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
