Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the permanent departure of Ethan Ebanks-Landell. The long-serving defender has joined Shrewsbury Town for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old puts pen to paper on a three-year deal at Shrewsbury after ending a 17-year association with Wolves.
Ebanks-Landell joined Wolves’ youth ranks as a nine-year-old and progressed through the ranks. He ended up playing 51 times for the Wolves first-team, scoring five goals.

The towering and powerful 6ft 2in centre-back has not been in Wolves’ plans for a while, though. In the 2016/17 season, Ebanks-Landell headed to League One Sheffield United on loan.
And then he had stints with Milton Keynes Dons and Rochdale on loan last season. With Wolves now in the Premier League, first-team chances were limited.
Nuno Espirito Santo has allowed the West Bromwich-born defender to pursue his career elsewhere. He has teamed up with former Wolves team-mate Sam Ricketts at Shrewsbury.
Wolves fans took to Twitter to bid farewell to Ebanks-Landell. He leaves fans with plenty of fond memories from his 50-plus games in gold and black.
Here are some of the tributes from Wolves fans who said goodbye to Ebanks-Landell on social media.
