Tottenham have reportedly put a £150million price tag on their forward Harry Kane – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have responded with comments suggesting the player has the right to leave to try win silverware at a different club.
According to Daily Mail, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy would want at least £150million if the club were to grant Kane’s exit.
The report states that right now Spurs don’t intend to sell, but it mentions Manchester City and Manchester United as two teams that will be searching for a new number nine at the end of the season.
Kane, who has gone from academy graduate to club legend, is the talisman of the Spurs team.
The 27-year-old goal machine has netted 21 times in all competitions this season, while he has a total tally of 209 senior goals for the North London club.
He’s a centre-forward that is so clinical anywhere around the penalty box and has great instincts, but on top of that he’s been a real creative force in Jose Mourinho’s XI.
Despite being regarded as one of the world’s best attackers in the past five years, England captain Kane gets criticised for never winning a trophy in his career.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media feel embarrassed about that record and insist Kane deserves to try win silverware elsewhere, amid reports of his £150million price tag,
Here are some Spurs fans discussing Kane:
I think he should go and get the trophies he deserves, we’ve failed him as a club and could rebuild this squad with the money we make from him. https://t.co/PWVzRI2V0R

he’s silly not to push through a move. He’s wasting his career at spurs 😬 https://t.co/3ebk6jpT3R

…I really hope he stays at #THFC…but I wouldn't blame him if he goes…he's such a fantastic player he deserves to win a house full of silverware and more…it's been a privilege to watch him play for us. He'll always be a Tottenham legend, no matter what. #COYS https://t.co/Hsf9pTI32f

As difficult as it would be for any club to buy him.I do believe deep down this is the closest we have ever been to losing https://t.co/Deyypm4ftI next season could possibly will be a big one in keeping him https://t.co/VV9qZkLC4y

When he look at Walker at city, how successful is he, two PL champion and great salary, play with great player in the world. We can’t keep him anymore, so this seasons is so important

If I was him, I'd be thinking I'd have to go for trophies at 29/30 yrs old if not winning them with Spurs. We might have him for remainder of this season and next but he's got to seek trophies elsewhere if we aren't winning them.

If he wants to go let him go. We already ruined half of his career let him at least be successful in the rest of his career.

I'd be happy for to him go, we need a massive rebuild unfortunately sometimes that's just the way
