A thrashing to Manchester City has left West Ham feeling frustrated yet again as Manuel Pellegrini remains without finding a consistent run of form at his new club in east London.
However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The next eight fixtures could be crucial in order to decide his future as he looks to drag the Hammers up from the bottom half of the table which could threaten to turn into a relegation battle if form drops off.
In the next eight fixtures, West Ham face six of the seven teams below them, Newcastle, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Southampton and Burnley.

In there other two fixtures in that time frame, one is against Brighton & Hove Albion, who are just one league table position and three points ahead, whilst the other is a less than intimidating game on home turf against Watford.
The Irons will not have a better chance to turn their season around than in this run of fixtures, but Pellegrini will have to aid his team to handle that pressure.
Failure to do so could end up costing the Chilean coach his job as West Ham’s demanding fans and owners already begin to pose questions.
