West Ham United have a very talented young player on their hands in the form of Conor Coventry.
The 19-year-old, who has been with the Hammers since the tender age of 10, caught the eye on Thursday night for the Republic of Ireland U21s against Italy.
The ace had a solid outing at the Tallaght Stadium during the goalless draw and was named man-of-the-match for his efforts.

Writing on Twitter after the game, the teenager said: “Delighted to get man-of-the-match tonight against Italy. Deserved all three points but a good point for the campaign.
Fans flocked to praise Coventry for his performance, which is only the latest in a fine season he is having.
Coventry – who made his senior debut against Macclesfield Town in the Carabao Cup last season – has been a key player for the U23s so far, making six appearances in PL2.
His exciting development should surely mean he now leapfrogs Carlos Sanchez in the pecking order for the first-team.
TBR’s view
Coventry is viewed as one of the very best young prospects the Hammers have right now, and he’s already made an EFL Cup cameo appearance this season (versus Newport County), which suggests he’s really knocking at the door.
Sanchez is a fairly unpopular figure with the fans having failed to prove himself since joining in the summer of 2018.

The Colombian veteran has had far more poor games than he’s had good, and arguably he is currently blocking young Coventry’s route to the first-team.
Perhaps it won’t be long until he does get his chance – and when he does it could be the beginning of the end for Sanchez, who simply hasn’t cut it.
