West Ham United are reportedly interested in a move for Boca Juniors striker Dario Benedetto. According to TeamTALK, the Argentine international has impressed West Ham scouts and a reported £20 million upper fee has been mentioned for the 28-year-old.
With West Ham strikers Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez, Andy Carroll and Lucas Perez all in doubt of having a future at the club beyond the summer, looking for a new striker makes sense.
If this story came out a few months ago, it would be a no-brainer for West Ham to make a move.

Last season saw Benedetto score an impressive 13 goals in 15 games. But his season was disrupted by a serious knee injury. This season has been less than impressive, with just four goals from 19 appearances.
At 28 and with no experience in Europe the move would be a gamble in the first place. Considering he is yet to find the net for his country, has struggled since a serious knee injury and turns 29 in May it would seem like a poor one at £20 million.
Lack of European experience, injury history, and age – three valid reasons to avoid his signature.
If West Ham can get that price-tag reduced significantly then it would be worth a punt. If not, then Benedetto should be avoided.
