West Ham United might have a future star in Veron Parkes

After an impressive start to the season, West Ham have recently found themselves in something of a dry patch. Ever since League One side Oxford United took them apart in the League Cup in September they have struggled to get their momentum back.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have now gone six games without a win and the weekend loss to Newcastle United was a particularly poor display.

But whilst the senior team are struggling for form at present, West Ham have a young talent who should be on the radar of fans.

West Ham snapped up the youngster from Crystal Palace in 2017 and he has been growing a reputation at the club ever since.

This season, the 18-year-old is on fire and at the weekend scored a hat-trick as West Ham’s under-18s beat Swansea City 8-2.

It took his tally for the season to eight goals in 15 games and the attacker, who is eligible to play for England and Scotland, continues to make a name for himself.

Now he is not yet ready for the West Ham first-team but he is clearly a player capable of one day making the grade. West Ham fans will hope he can go on to prove himself capable of playing in the Hammers first-team.
