West Ham United fans react as club reportedly battling Everton and Liverpool for defender

West Ham United are reportedly battling Everton and Fulham in the race to sign Torino powerhouse Gleison Bremer who was linked with Liverpool earlier this month – and Hammers supporters have responded on Twitter to the news.

Bremer, 23, has thrown himself onto the radar of Premier League clubs after shining in the burgundy of Serie A side Torino over the past couple of seasons. His powerful frame has helped Torino keep five clean sheets in 19 league games this term.

Not only that, but Bremer has continued his goalscoring form. Before this season, he had netted five goals in 42 league and cup appearances – and this season he has four in his 19 Serie A outings. That kind of form does not go unnoticed.

Indeed, the Mirror claimed earlier this month that Liverpool had made Bremer their first choice option this summer – and coukd get the South American defender for a bargain fee of less than £10million. But that value could be about to increase.

That is because Toro News claim another three Premier League clubs are keen. Indeed, West Ham are keen – as are Everton and Fulham. He has a contract with Torino until the summer of 2023, but it is clear he is set to leave in the summer.

West Ham supporters reacted on Twitter to the reported news that they are interested in signing Bremer this summer – and while some think he would be a good signing, others think Craig Dawson deserves to be signed first, on a permanent basis.
