West Ham United could be about to join the race for Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen, according to reports.
The Sun are claiming interest from the Hammers in the man who has already notched 16 goals this season.
Several other Premier League outfits are interested in Bowen; with the 23-year-old out of contract during the summer.
West Ham have had success in signing from the Championship before and Bowen could be yet another shrewd move.
In 2015 the Hammers landed Michail Antonio from Nottingham Forest for £7 million (Sky Sports).
The speedster had been blistering during the 2016/17 campaign and after just one season on Trentside, West Ham handed him a Premier League shot.
Signing the 29-year-old has paid dividends. Although he has struggled with injuries he has made 136 appearances for the club proving a versatile performer.
He has played in all three forward roles and at right-back during his time with the Hammers and his work rate is vastly underrated.
Supporters would hope that Bowen could have a similar impact if he joined from the Championship.
The Tigers man could even prove more fruitful than Antonio.
Bowen is perhaps cuter in possession of the ball and boasts a knack of scoring and creating opportunities out of nothing.
It is thought that Bowen could leave the KCOM Stadium for £15 million. In today’s market that represents a steal.
Having Antonio and Bowen in the same team would certainly give West Ham some serious trickery in their attack.
At 23 there is scope for the Hull man to improve and the Hammers could certainly do a lot worse than completing a January deal for the Tigers talisman.
