West Ham, among other Premier League teams, are reportedly keen on the signature of Ecuador striker Felipe Caicedo.
As reported by CalcioMercato, and relayed by Football Italia, West Ham made a move for the 31-year-old in January. However, Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi put an end to any potential deal.
West Ham’s interest has been reported again this week. Ecuagol has suggested the Hammers are keen on a summer move for the player, along with Everton and Newcastle United.

It is not exactly a potential deal that has West Ham fans over-the-moon with excitement.
Caicedo is best known for an average stint in England with Manchester City and has a reputation for being a reliable hard-worker. Given his age, it would also be a deal that leaves West Ham fans questioning the club’s direction.
But one stat from last week might have some West Ham fans changing their tune. As shown by WhoScored’s official Twitter account, only the phenomenal Erling Braut Haaland had a better shot-goal conversion rate in Europe’s top leagues. West Ham fans will also notice the presence of Lucas Perez, a player they let go this summer.
Caicedo may only have eight goals in 29 appearances this season but it appears that when he gets a chance the Ecuadorian tends to take it.
Maybe West Ham should make a move after all.
