West Ham are reportedly one of the teams that are interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Danny Drinkwater.
According to the Daily Mail in its print edition (23 January, Page 65), the Hammers, Fulham and Fenerbahce want to add the 28-year-old to their squad in January.
The Englishman has been frozen out of the picture at Stamford Bridge, but he could get his career back on track at the London Stadium.
Manuel Pellegrini’s should ramp up interest in him, whether that be on a loan or a permanent basis in January.
Drinkwater was a key part of Leicester City’s famous title success in the 2015/16 campaign and he’s not quite managed to cut the grade at Chelsea since his move.
But he did force himself into the England national team picture at one point by earning three senior caps and is still a quality player.

He’s got an excellent range of passing and provides a tireless work-rate in the centre of the park.
West Ham currently have a preferred duo of Declan Rice and club captain Mark Noble performing well, but the latter might not have the legs to play at his best every game.
Drinkwater would be ideal competition for Noble in the second half of the season, while a potential Drinkwater-Rice combination could be electric.
Drinkwater once formed a brilliant understanding alongside defensive midfielder N’Golo Kante at Leicester and Rice is the Hammers equivalent with some eye-catching displays in front of the back four.
Rice, 20, is still an upcoming talent learning his game and some feel he may have the potential to go reach dizzy heights like Kante in the future.
Drinkwater should be coming to the peak years of his career and pairing him next to Rice could be a Pellegrini masterstroke.
