West Ham have been linked with a move for Real Madrid’s midfielder Dani Ceballos.
According to the Mirror, Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini is a big admirer of the 22-year-old and the club’s director of football Mario Husillos also approves of a potential swoop.
It is understood that the six-time capped Spain international is surplus to requirement at the Bernabeu and Madrid would prefer to send him out on loan next season.
But the report adds that West Ham have been encouraged that they could snap him up permanently for around £18million.
West Ham were also believed to have made a “brief enquiry” for Ceballos back in January and are now once again in the hunt for him.
Madrid signed Ceballos for £14.5million (Daily Mail) back in 2017, but it seems like he could soon go through the exit doors.

Ceballos could be a real bargain for West Ham at his £18million price tag and the club should seriously consider going all out to try land him.
The Spanish playmaker is a central midfielder that is extremely composed on the ball and could add some extra guile in the centre of the park for the Hammers.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have enforcers such as Declan Rice and Mark Noble in midfield, but adding someone with the creativity and vision of Ceballos could give them the perfect mix.
It’s not quite happened for him at Madrid, but he’s still impressed in his 33 appearances this season and could be a future star of the Premier League if given the chance.
