West Ham supporters take aim at Perez after lacklustre display in Burnley loss
West Ham went into their trip to Burnley yesterday with their eyes on seventh place in the Premier League, knowing that three points at Turf Moor would take them there.
Burnley have struggled badly this season and given they were pumped 5-1 by Everton on Boxing Day and the fact that Manuel Pellegrini’s side have been very impressive indeed during December, the Hammers would have been right to expect a win.
But Sean Dyche inspired a reaction from his side after that heavy defeat and West Ham were not able to match their levels of commitment as first half goals from Chris Wood and Dwight McNeil clinched a much-needed three points for the Clarets.

The Hammers have enjoyed a good month, battling on despite a heavy injury crisis but that fatigue looked to have taken hold yesterday – much to the dissatisfaction of their supporters.
They took to Twitter to express their anger at the result and Lucas Perez was a particular target after a limp performance at the forefront of an attack that failed to create much against a side who have been leaky defensively this season…

They didn’t take them, we handed them over. Absolutely toothless. Noble and Perez should not feature for us.

Did Perez actually start, what a great addition he is.
