Leicester City are reportedly keeping an eye on West Ham United playmaker Jesse Lingard ahead of a potential summer move with the England man only on loan at the London Stadium – and Hammers fans have responded to the reports on Twitter.
Lingard, 28, has been in excellent form since joining West Ham on loan until the end of the season. Scoring a brace on his debut, he won a penalty in the win over Sheffield United and scored the winner in a 2-1 win over Tottenham on Sunday.
His contract was due to expire in the summer, but The Athletic report he has since renewed his contract at United by another year – with his parent club triggering a 12-month extension. It means it will cost a fee to sign him in the summer.

Eurosport claim Leicester are keeping tabs on Lingard and may look to rival West Ham this summer. United could still look to bring him back to Old Trafford – while the Daily Express claim he is rated at a bargain £10million.
The Foxes have numerous attacking midfielders to call upon – Harvey Barnes, Ayoze Perez, James Maddison, Cengiz Under and more. But bringing in a player of Lingard’s quality, and versatility, will help most Premier League clubs.
West Ham supporters responded to the reports that Leicester could look to blow the Hammers out of the water to sign Lingard.
