West Ham supporters react as club linked with Manchester United star Jesse Lingard

West Ham United are one of six clubs reportedly tracking Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard ahead of the January window – and Hammers fans have reacted on Twitter ahead of a potential reunion with David Moyes.

During his time at Manchester United, Moyes loaned out a younger Lingard and now, the 27-year-old midfielder is looking to leave Old Trafford temporarily again. He has failed to play a single minute of Premier League football.

The 24-time England international is also in the final year of his £75k-a-week contract (Spotrac), and he looks to have potentially played his last game for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side. A loan in January is now expected.

Certainly, Sky Sports claim his agents are exploring as much – and have held talks with one of Moyes old clubs in the form of Real Sociedad. A loan move could materialise, but the Spanish side are not alone in their pursuit.

Indeed, the Mirror have claimed that Celtic and Rangers are interested in luring Lingard to Scottish football, while West Ham, Everton and West Brom want to keep the midfielder in the Premier League.

West Ham supporters have reacted on Twitter to reports that their club could lure Lingard to the London Stadium in the January window – and some are keen to see him in claret and blue come January.

However, a move from West Ham would need to be a permanent deal – given the Hammers already have two players on loan from English clubs in the form of Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma.
