West Ham have had a mixed season under Manuel Pellegrini this year, but the aim has to be pushing for European football next year.
The Hammers have a talented crop of players in their squad and are perhaps only a few away from becoming a formidable side.
They are reportedly looking at attacker Joelinton from German club Hoffenheim and they should ramp up interest in him for the summer.
According to CalcioMercato, West Ham are eyeing the 22-year-old South American.
Meanwhile, Sport1 have reported that Newcastle United were keen on signing the Brazilian for £52million in the summer.
It’s unclear on how much it would take to prize Joelinton away from Hoffenheim, but West Ham should step up interest and try negotiate a fair deal for him.

Joelinton certainly has the quality in the final third that could help the Hammers push for Europe and would be a great investment at the London Stadium.
The striker is a promising talent with incredible pace and at his age has plenty of room still to improve.
He’s made 32 appearances for Hoffenheim this season across all competitions and scored 11 goals in return.
The attacker has also provided nine assists to highlight his effectiveness in the final third and he would definitely provide a fresh option for Pellegrini at striker.
