West Ham appear to have stumbled across a strong solution at right-back with Ryan Fredericks, who is now beginning to look a decent option after arriving in the summer.
The 26-year-old speed machine has taken time to get up to full speed, but now should be an important player for the Hammers moving forward and can make a positive impact in the Premier League.
Manuel Pellegrini does need to work out his long-term plan at right-back though, as Fredericks will need competition rather than just ageing Pablo Zabaleta.
One man that should pop up on the West Ham radar is Carl Jenkinson and they should attempt to bring him back to provide competition in the full-back area.
West Ham should try re-sign Jenkinson from London rivals Arsenal after he previously spent two different loan spells with them between 2014-16.
The 27-year-old defender has had his troubles with injuries, but started for the Gunners against Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday night and has made seven appearances across all competitions this season.

Jenkinson was particularly impressive during his first loan stint with West Ham and at his age he still has a good future ahead of him if he can stay fit.
The right-back would be ideal competition for Fredericks and the pair would be a really strong solution for Pellegrini in that position.
Jenkinson can be solid with his back to goal when he’s on form and is tenacious with his tackling, while he also offers plenty when going forward in wide areas.
West Ham should consider an approach for him in the summer to see if Arsenal would consider selling their fringe player.
