West Ham United midfielder Carlos Sanchez was absolutely lambasted on social media on Thursday night after the club fell to a shocking 4-0 defeat to Oxford United in the Carabao Cup.
The Hammers were humbled by the League One outfit at the Kassam Stadium in what is arguably one of their worst ever cup results.
Manuel Pellegrini has taken responsibility for the defeat, but many players have been criticised.

None more so than Colombian midfielder Sanchez, who really struggled on the night – something that is becoming far too common.
It was Sanchez’s 13th appearance since his transfer from Fiorentina, and he is yet to put in a decent performance for the Irons.
Although it would have been harsh given his injury nightmare last term, perhaps the club should have sought to move him on over the summer.
TBR’s view
West Ham were continually linked with a move for Gary Medel earlier this year, with Fanatik reporting in July that a deal was effectively done, and it looks as though the club really missed a trick.

Sanchez continues to disappoint, while the tenacious Chilean – who still captains his country – is impressing with new club Bologna.
The 32-year-old is back in Serie A now after a stint with Besiktas, and has beefed up the team’s midfield considerably.
He has helped Bologna reach seventh in the table, and WhoScored have his average match rating in the league so far at a solid 7.02.
Whatever the reason he didn’t end up at the London Stadium, there should definitely be a few regrets.
