West Ham should be on red alert to £6m midfielder at relegated club, PL rivals are linked - TBR View
West Ham certainly need to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, so they should consider throwing their name into the ring for Fulham’s Harrison Reed.
The Hammers squad needs to deal with European matches alongside domestic ones next season.
If David Moyes’ Hammers side are going to compete on all fronts, they need to bring in a few extra bodies to the London Stadium because of all the fixtures.
One man they should look at targeting is Reed.
Unfortunately, the £6million midfielder was relegated from the Premier League with Fulham this season. However, he was one of the best individuals at Craven Cottage.
West Ham should hijack Leeds interest in Harrison Reed
According to the Daily Mail, Premier League side Leeds United want to snap up Reed this summer.
Fulham, following relegation, face a battle to keep their star players ahead of a campaign in the Championship.
West Ham should definitely rival Leeds for the 26-year-old’s signature, and they’d have the bonus of offering European football.
Reed is an all-action central midfielder who can sit deeper to control possession and tackle aggressively. Alternatively, he’s got real stamina and an eye for a pass going froward.
Moyes needs to bolster his midfielder options, as it’s impossible to consistently rely on Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek to be the outstanding pairing in the centre of the park.
Reed would be an extremely shrewd target for the Irons.
