Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is reportedly a January transfer target for West Ham United.

According to the Daily Mail, the Hammers are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing the Gunners forward.

West Ham currently have a shortage of strikers and the Arsenal ace wouldn’t be a bad shout.

Nketiah has previously been compared to Jermain Defoe for his ability to shoot accurately from all angles (Telegraph).

His future at Arsenal is very uncertain as his Emirates contract expires at the end of the season.

Metro claim the 22-year-old has rejected the Gunners’ latest offer of a new contract.

Instead of losing Nketiah for nothing, Arsenal could potentially sell him in January for a fee.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta rates Nketiah highly, calling him “extraordinary” last year.

However, he’s still struggling for regular game time.

Nketiah has just 38 minutes of Premier League action under his belt this season.

He has started three games this season – all in the Carabao Cup – and has scored five goals.

Just this week, Nketiah bagged a superb hat-trick in the quarter-final against Sunderland.

Last summer, Arsenal reportedly valued the Hale End graduate at £20million (The Athletic).

Given he has just a few months left on his contract, chances are West Ham could pick him up for less.
