West Ham round-up: Defender and midfielder wanted, potential loan exits

A selection of the latest news and gossip from West Ham on deadline day.

Three new faces?

The Daily Mail report that as well as getting new striker Albian Ajeti through the door, which the club’s official Twitter account has already confirmed this morning, Manuel Pellegrini wants two more new faces.

Pellegrini apparently wants another central defender and a central midfielder on loan – although no targets have been named in the report.

The Express and Star report that Championship side West Bromwich Albion, of course managed by former Hammers manager Slaven Bilic, are closing in on a loan deal for Grady Diangana.

Bilic has apparently phoned the player personally himself and that looks to have swayed him to come to the West Midlands over a highly-ambitious Derby County side.

Two more loan deals?

The Daily Mail also report that two more Hammers youngsters could go out on loan – Nathan Holland and Dan Kemp.

Holland is linked with a switch to cash-strapped Bolton Wanderers, who are battling a points deduction down in League One.

Meanwhile, Kemp is expected to depart on a temporary basis too. The Mail don’t name a potential destination but Claret and Hugh report that the Netherlands is his most likely destination.
