In August a transfer move to bring Yacine Brahimi to West Ham fell apart. According to Sky Sports the club had agreed on a fee with Porto, but personal terms could not be met. The deal was said to have fallen apart due to Brahimi’s desire to ‘play for titles’ at Porto for one more season, according to O Jogo, as relayed by Sport Witness.
However, the Algerian was said to be keen on an eventual move to English football and it appears West Ham are still keen on the player.
O Jogo is reporting that West Ham remain interested in the player – along with Marseille, Lazio and Besiktas.
The difference, on this occasion, is that Brahimi will not cost them a transfer fee.

Brahimi is out of contract in the summer and West Ham have a chance to snap the 28-year-old up on a free transfer.
Considering that, according to Zero Zero, he had a release clause of €60 (£52.7) million last year and was not going to go for less than £22 million, a Bosman deal would be a bargain for the player on paper.
Whether they will be able to convince him of a move to West Ham on this occasion will remain to be seen.
