After already having had a bid rejected by Hull City, Sky Sports report that the Hammers have made an improved offer for winger Robert Snodgrass. The Scottish international’s contract is up at the end of the season and he has already turned down a new deal at the club, with this bid believed to be worth £5 million, a £2 million increase on the previous bid.
The 29-year-old has scored nine goals in 23 games for the Tigers who have previously stated that they do not want to sell their star man this month as they battle relegation.
Perhaps knowing that the move for Snodgrass is unlikely to be successful, the club have also turned down a loan approach for Sofiane Feghouli from Roma, claim Sky Sports. The Algerian has struggled to convince since joining in the summer on a free transfer from Valencia but has broken into the team of late.
The loan deal would reportedly have made the club a total £9 million for the loan and permanent switch in the summer, meaning a big profit in only a few months, but he is clearly considered an important option for Slaven Bilic.
Another bid is also said to have been turned down by club bosses as the Daily Record say that Rangers have been rebuffed in a move to take 17-year-old Domingos Quina on loan, with the Irons believing that he will be given opportunities in the first team at the London Stadium in the second half of the season.
The central attacking midfielder has already made his debut for the club in the Europa League qualifiers since joining from Chelsea in the summer, but the former Benfica man has not featured for the first team since and has been restricted to appearances for the under 18s and under 23s.
