West Ham United still haven’t signed any players this transfer window, and fan concern is growing.
A 5-1 victory over Hull City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening bought a moment’s positivity, but the pressure from fans on the board is mounting as the transfer window’s end creeps closer.
The latest is that a bid has been submitted for talented Saint-Etienne youngster Wesley Fofana (Sky Sports), which is actually somewhat exciting.
But it, of course, all means nothing until the player is actually holding up a West Ham shirt.
One other position that still needs addressing is left-back, and the Hammers should look no further than across the city.
TBR’s View – Sessegnon can reinvigorate West Ham’s left flank
West Ham have started the season playing with wing-backs, which is a system that could really suit Sessegnon given his attacking qualities and ability to play as a left-winger.
The London Stadium could be a great temporary move for the player, and West Ham would be getting a talented young player with a point to prove to his manager.
Deals between West Ham and Spurs are rare, but this is an opportunity that is surely too good to not at least test the waters.
