There’s certainly no doubt that David Moyes’ West Ham United side could do with a boost before the month ends.
Although Jarrod Bowen returned ahead of schedule at the weekend, Moyes looks bereft of options up top.

With Mohammed Kudus at AFCON and Lucas Paqueta injured, West Ham’s lack of depth has been exposed.
Maxwell Cornet and Danny Ings aren’t bad players by any means, but they are a big drop off from the usual starting trio.
And one pundit has also claimed that Pablo Fornals’ best days are now behind him.
That being said, West Ham have now been linked with an exciting young winger who’s showing huge potential.
19-year-old Ibrahim Osman is currently playing his football with FC Nordsjaelland in Denmark, having joined from Right to Dream in Ghana at the start of 2023.
Ben Jacobs shared the news on X, saying that the Danish side could hold out for £17m in January, such is the promise Osman is showing.
Of course, an arrival would look very well advised for West Ham this month, with Moyes’s side still competing on various fronts.
West Ham could strengthen David Moyes’ squad with Ibrahim Osman this month
According to Jacobs, West Ham have now opened talks to sign Osman amid interest from other Premier League clubs.
The journalist said: “Understand West Ham have now enquired about Nordsjælland’s 19-year-old forward Ibrahim Osman.

“As revealed, Ghanian also tracked this window by Brighton and Palace.
“West Ham the most active currently. No offers yet. Nordsjælland expect at least €15m and may hold out for €20m.”
Scouted50 recently included Osman in their guide to the next generation of best footballers.
And the publication highlighted the winger’s ability to robustly ride contact on the wing, saying he loved to drive past defenders.
It certainly seems that Osman would be a smart buy for West Ham, but he’s perhaps not someone who would help Moyes immediately this month.
With just 39 appearances in total in Europe, Osman is still relatively early in his career.
And therefore some fans might think such an outlay on the 19-year-old this month isn’t best advised.
Perhaps those same fans would prefer their club to chase a Premier League player they’re said to be in the driving seat for.
